Lunch yesterday.

The lady who got tased

Did you guys see the interview of the single mom on the Early Show this morning who was tased repeatedly by a police officer and then kicked while she was down?

Good Lord, I hope something severe happens to that police offier. What an idiot. Maybe he was jealous because she was attractive and he was fat. I dunno.

It just burns me up when I see stuff like this. The police are becoming a corrupt bunch of people, and I wonder if there is something we can do to stop it. I know I don't trust them, and I know a lot of people who do not trust police any more as well.

Absolutely insane.

Some stuff this week & terrorist update

Blogging to you live from Atlanta Bread Company on University Drive

Last week, we were riding in the car and listening to Dave Ramsey. He was talking about the book, “48 days to the work you love” by Dan Miller. She said, “That sounds like a book I need.” I had heard Dave mention the book many times before, but I always love my job so I didn’t see any need to get the book. However, when she expressed an interest, I thought it would be a great opportunity for us to explore ways in which she can find her calling in life. Currently she is not happy at her current employment and I want her to make a change after we get married.

The book arrived yesterday afternoon via UPS. I opened the brown box and placed the book on the bar. Then I wrote a little note to her and sat it under the book. When she got to my house, I was laying on the couch reading “His Needs, Her Needs” as part of our pre-marriage counseling homework.

She saw the book on the counter and smiled really big. Then when we got in the car, she brought the book with her and began reading it. I can not even explain how happy that made me to see her reading that book. I know she doesn’t like to read, and it made me very proud of her to take an interest in the book, and trying to better herself. Self improvement is a very important goal I constantly work on, and I need my mate to partake in that journey with me in her own life.

Blogging to you live from McAlister’s Deli on University Drive (my post from yesterday 9/12/07 which didn’t upload)

Is anyone else out there thankful that we made it through yesterday with out any terrorist incidents on our soil? I am!

We watched the Oprah special last night (words you will not normally hear my manly self utter) about the children whose parents were killed in the towers and pentagon. Wow that was incredibly touching and caused me to get a little misty eyed. The kids kept talking about wanting to grow up and make their parents proud and being like their dads. Giving honor to the family name.

It made me think of the sermon at church a few weeks back when Dr. Hurt was talking about his childhood and how, while he wasn’t necessarily a Christian, he wanted to do things right so as not to cause shame to his family, and to make his parents proud.

That really rung true to me. I have tried very hard in life to do everything possible to make my parents proud, while making me a better person: graduating from high school with honors, getting scholarships to college, graduating college with a bachelor’s, going back and getting a Master’s degree, getting involved in music and also starting my own company.

Over the years, it has been the love of my parents and respect of them and their beliefs and the way that they raised me, that has kept me on the straight and narrow, which is where we should all be.

It’s like I told our pastor last night during the marriage counseling meeting, “We don’t want to be what society considers normal, which is broke, desperate, and stupid.” This is why I have sacrificed my entire life to save money to build this home for my family, where my wife can be and manage the day to day house duties while I’m out in the trenches making the cash to make our dreams come true.

As Tag and I discussed last night, if people are making fun of us for the way we are living, then we are 100% on the correct path, because the majority of society has it wrong, and only a select few will get it right. We are going to be a part of that select few who say good-bye to the ways of American culture, and hello to the truly good life.

After the Oprah thing, we watched more on the Glenn Beck special about the Beslan School Hostage Crisis from 2004 and about how these kinds of events are probably being planned for the USA. It is truly frightening to think that the horrors depicted on the Al-Qaeda video could happen here… just killing and torturing kids left and right. Horrific.

Make sure and tune into to your CNN Headline News channel at 7 PM Eastern to catch the Glenn Beck program as they talk more about this terror plot every night this week.

Office games

I bought these office games at cracker barrel yesterday so i will have something to do at work, when i am not busy... So i guess i will be playing every day. What? Lol just kidding. Hopefully everyone at the office will enjoy desktop basketball and hallway horseshoes! Solitaire, spider solitaire, and pinball were getting kind of old.

They want to kill our kids

Our worst fears may be coming true, if intelligence that US troops have gathered in Iraq comes to fruition.

News facts: Recently, 600 school bus two-way radios have been stolen and some two dozen school busses are missing.

The big fear, according to government officials, is the Al-Qaeda terrorists are planning on taking over American grade schools, where the girls are old enough to rape, and the boys are not able to fight back. Then when the people rush in to help them, the parking lot is going to be booby trapped with car bombs, and when parents, and emergency first responders arrive, they will all be killed by the exploding car bombs, thus creating more carnage.

This type of attack has happened elsewhere (Bali night club), and back in 1920, this very thing happened right here in the USA.

Now, according to sources, the New York City police terror plan states, if terrorists overtake a school, people are strongly advised not to go to the scene. Likewise, parents are urged not to go and try and rescue their kids, because they will likely be killed as well.

The overall goal of Al Qaeda is to start a jihad, holy war, and cripple the economy.

Taking over our schools, reportedly 7 schools through out the USA, (possibly in the Midwest where first responders are typically slower than elsewhere which would give the terrorists time to fortify their positions), and doing these unspeakable horrors to our kids, is the plan, and would not doubt have a rippling effect across all socio-economic levels. By doing these acts to the kids, they are trying to get a rise out of the American people so they can start a full scale war on US soil.

Already all across the United States, terrorists have been conducting trial runs by hi-jacking school busses, and videotaping schools. Terror camp raids in Iraq have yielded video proof that the above is true. The terrorists in training were speaking in English while directing children on what to do. Our troops found the school layouts during the raids as well.

This is a very scary time for us as Americans.

The fact that Bin Laden’s beard was dyed black is further indication that Holy War is Al-Qaeda’s plan. According to the Koran, dying a beard black is a sign of strength and is part of the Holy War tradition.

As parents we need to monitor news events over the next 4-6 weeks.

Remember, if this happens, do not watch TV if you are in Ohio and this happens in Kansas. Get on the phone, call your school and get the kid out of school.

These planned attacks are similar to the ones Islamic Terrorists carried out against the Chechens in September 2004 in the Beslan school seige. They tortured their elementary age kids and threw them out the school windows into the streets in an attempt to start a holy war with Russia.

Terrorists are like sharks. They circle their prey from a distance gathering information about the intended target. They get closer and closer. Then, they don’t attack immediately. They bump the prey to see if it is a threat. Then finally they attack.

This is precisely what Al Qaeda has been doing to us recently with all these incidents across the US related to schools.

Let’s hope and pray that nothing happens.

Tune into Glenn Beck on CNN Headline news tonight at 7PM for more information on this latest suspected terror plot.
