The nap which I referred to at the end of my entry from yesterday turned into sleep. I went into the living room to watch some G3 and my eyelids got heavy, so I went and laid down on my bed. Next thing I knew, it was 6:00 AM and time to go to work. Needless to say I felt pretty good after my 12-hour nap. Wow is right.
My new employee orientation went fairly smoothly. I got finger-printed. That was fun. Got back to the office and things were hoppin'. I got some memos out today and then ran some numbers the rest of the afternoon.
Ran into Bailey during lunch today. Haven't seen her in about a month. She's been working a lot at the pharmacy and also was telling me she just turned 24 last Thursday. Then she said this to me, and I'll let you try and figure out what it means: "It's been a while since I've been out.. went to Humphrey's and tried out that new micro-brewery and got wasted after only a few drinks."
On my way out I ran into Sheila. She parked next to me... in her new Mercedes C320. Quote, "I like the car, but I don't like the payments"... my thought, "I've got a friend I'd like to introduce you too named Dave Ramsey." LOL Instead I just complimented her on it and came on back to work.
On my way home tonight, I pulled up beside a truck of chickens. While it is sad on one hand to have to kill them to eat them... they sure do make tasty meals.
