Tonight was the absolute most fun I've had ... since last weekend.
After band practice I headed up to this party at Julia's house. I got there right at 6:00 PM and was the first person there. I thought I had gotten lost for a minute and almost had to call her, but I found it. She gave me the grand tour. Wow that is a nice house... 4 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, a huge kitchen, 3 car garage, and incredibly clean...and brand new.
Amber arrived next and then Kristin and then I lost track as the other 15 people arrived. By 7:00 PM everyone was there. It was a huge crowd. Everyone was single I think except for obviously Shane and Melody and Nick and Monica.
Everyone was so friendly. It was great to meet all these people. I made sure and go chat it up with the ladies. At one point this really cute blonde girl and her friend took a seat next to me on the sofa. I'm sure I had the "Wow you are really cute" look on my face. I busted out with, "Hi I'm Kyle, I don't think we've met yet."
Wow, that line works really well. We ended up having a really good chat. Her name was Rebecca and her friends name was Sissy. Anyways, she reminds me exactly of Mary Elizabeth Brogden. (Jeremy... remember when we met her in Tuscaloosa in 1998 at the BCM convention?... I know Lee remembers her... she's the girl that drove down from Bay Minette to see me during Spring Break 1999 when we were down there.) Absolutely smokin' hot.
The game of choice was obviously Cranium. We played for around 2.5 hours (4 teams of 4-5 people). Before hand, some were recounting their funniest Cranium moments... but I"ll tell you, none of them compared to the "Missionary" bit that Jeff did at the Lake House.
Whenever it came time to do a "Humdinger", Julia, Nick, Monica, Shane, and Melody would all bust out laughing, because we (Me, Melody, Monica, Van: Team Yellow) were making Van hum them... I was like, "Ok man, look at the girls when you hum these songs." It was absolutely hilarious.
The "Red" team was trying to guess the phrase, "Sea Kayak". So this dude is drawing like a ship and waves etc... one of the guys busts out with "Seaman". I dunno for some reason we all thought that was funny. Stop now and say it outloud, "Seaman".
I guess this is going to become a regular thing since when I was leaving Julia was like, "Hope to see you again next time." and I'm like, "You can count on it."
Ok I must get into bed now.
Nightly Funnies (or disturbing-ies)
Dude: So who do you work for?
Me: The Department of Defense.
Dude: I've never heard of that before.
Me: [thinking-...."Allrighty then"] - He seriously didn't know what it was.
Me: [Resume conversation with the girl on the couch]
