That is how I would describe the dreams I had last night.
I can't recall many details now, but I know in the first one, Shane, Tag, and I were doing some kind of "extreme home makeover" thing ... except we were trying to do a demolition on a large decrept building. If I'm not mistaken, my second dream involved me getting married... to... yes. That's correct.
That trip to the sauna coupled with those 2 beef enchilada's and 1 beef taco from last night apparently really did a number on the ol' brain synapses.
Today
We had a line of storms move through Alabama today. That's about all the excitement we've got going on here. Work went well.
After work I went to the gym for like 1.5 hours. Major workout today.
A couple months ago these 2 guys came up and introduced themselves to me and what not. Well today, they were up there, and they came over and whatever, and I was like, "Look, what are your names again?" I wanted to get it straight, because everytime I see them, they're like "Hey Kyle" and I'm usually like, "Hey man" LOL So we got that social wrinkle ironed out.
After the workout, I sat in the sauna for about 15 minutes contemplating a lot of stuff. Got home, downed a Myoplex, got cleaned up and headed to J-mo's around 8:00 PM. Looked over some shots from the weekend. Good stuff.
I left there around 9:00 PM and headed off to get some food, hang out with my wife, and tell her how beautiful she is, before going to sleep. Did I just say that outloud? Hmmm oddly, I like the sound of that.
It's odd, J-mo IM's me a minute ago asking, "How's the wife?" in a joking manner... and I had that dream about her last night... but I haven't told anyone about it yet, except in this post right here, which I haven't posted yet!!!! I'm freakin' out over here.
Terri Schindler Schiavo
I gotta tell you, I'm not sure where I stand on this issue. I've been following her story for close to 1 year now, and there are so many moral and ethical questions it's just madness.
On the one hand, I do not believe in taking a human life.
On the other hand, she being forced to live a less than rewarding life.
But, who are we as humans to decide what is "a life worth living"?
As an ever evolving race of humans, I fear we have reached a point with medical technology which has essentially created a wide open pandora's box: in terms of things we can do to preserve human life - extend it, if you will. While at the same time, perhaps we were never suppose to be able to have "life support" systems.
Whichever way this Terri Schiavo case goes, it's going to have an unbelievable impact on everything from religion to healthcare to the very laws of the land.
Indeed, this is no trivial matter we are dealing with here.
