Hope for the youth's of America.

I got about 4 hours of sleep last night because I found myself waking up literally about every 45 minutes. Oh well.

Late for church this morning. Everything seemed to go really well and sounded good. Afterwards, J-mo and I hit up the McDonald's drive thru, then it was off to his place to get ready for an afternoon of picture taking. Cruised over and picked up "test subject #1" and headed to Huntsville around 1:30 PM. Ended up at Hampton Cove. What a great place to take pix. Finished up there and headed to Parkway Place mall to kill some time and eat some food.

As we were walking around the mall, we stopped in at Abercrombie and Fitch to look at clothes. I noticed several pairs of tattered jeans and went over to look at them. $75 a pair. That is frickin' insane. As we were leaving:

Jordan: Everything is so expensive in here... and what's the deal with thos jeans? They're $75 and they're full of holes
Me: Yeah, that's pretty crazy.
Jordan: Who would pay $75 for something like that when you can get a good pair of jeans for $20 elsewhere.

I'll tell you what, those are pretty smart words coming from a 15-year old. There are some 25-year olds who can't even comprehend this concept. There is still some hope for the youth's of America.

I really admire Dave and the way he's doing a complete overhaul of the family finances, and more importantly how everyone is on-board with this idea. Of course, it's easy for me, I'm single. But for those married folks, everyone has to be on-board 100%. Work together. It's a team effort! You can do it (Say it like it's from the movie "Waterboy")!!

Speaking of finances, Dave Ramsey is coming to Birmingham:

Date: Thursday, May 12, 2005
Time: 5:30 - 10:00 PM
Location: Bartow Arena - UAB 617 13th Street South

If you've never seen Dave, you definately should check it out. I hate that it is on a Thursday night...

Ok back to my day now... Got home around 5:00 PM and ate dinner with the folks, and then it was off to church to the "Good Sense" financial class, Session II. That went well and Jack did a good job giving the presentation on Giving.

Afterwards, I ran by Kyoto Japanese restuarant and met up with Eli, J-mo, Kev, Stacey, and Sharon. I didn't eat. LOL Ran by J-mo's to check out some of the pix from earlier, they came out looking really well. Now I'm at home, and am going to make up, somehow, for last night's lack of sleep.

Hope you all have a good week. I already know my schedule is packed full the first half of the week, so I probably won't be blogging much! Until next time.....
