I've got the key....

to the highway...
I'm billed out and bound to go
I'm gonna leave
Out of here runnin'
Because walkin' is much to slow.

... that song just popped into my head. Weird.

I hope everyone had a joyous and happy Easter.

The Easter Card Story
This morning I was happy to see that Cassie sent me an E-Easter card. I said to myself, "That was really nice of her"... then it got to the end where you write your personal greeting and it said, "Amber and Will, congratulations on your soon to be new born. Happy Easter!"

I was like, "What the freak? DANGIT!"

Then the next email in my inbox was an email from Cassie that said, "Hey, sorry about sending you that Easter card... I accidently put your email address in the "to" field... yours is coming next." So then, the next email from her, was ~my~ Easter card. {Cartman Voice} Sweet. {/Cartman Voice}

Of course, now I feel like a piece of dog doo for not sending her one. Freak me. Oh well. She mentioned something about getting together this coming weekend. I'll make it up then. Somehow.

Morning Church Service
Ater that fiasco, I went to church. Just all around good stuff there today. The music went ok. I got lost several times, because, oh I dunno, I was having some major trouble focusing. Although, I can't possibly imagine why. Or, I know exactly why. Whichver.

There was an awesome video clip that was played this morning, I wish I could put it up here for you all to watch and listen to, because it is amazing.

Seemed to be good crowd interation and participation this morning. Sometimes I feel kind of weird up there on stage, like groovin' and jumpin' around, if we're the only ones doing it and crowd isn't getting into it.

Well.. at least I feel that way whenever I manage to actually look up and actually AT the crowd.

Subdivisions
I came home after church and ate lunch with the folks. Then went out to do a little Sunday house hunting. There are 2 similar homes being built in Buringtree Meadows that I really like.

They are "basement" houses, but not really basements in the traditional sense, because they are on a hillside, and the back side is exposed. Total, we're looking at around 3,000 square feet of living space... Perfect size for me.

Anyways, I would buy either of them in a second... however... the builder did a horrid job putting up the moisture barrier. The interior walls were SOAKIN' wet, as was the basement floor. NOT good. The houses are ... 70% complete.

I ain't storing $40,000 worth of audio/video gear and botique musical instruments in a frickin' leaky basement. That is not cool.

The Phone Call @ 2:07 PM
On the way to Deerfoot Estates, I got a phone call from a number I didn't recognize. This is what really creeps me out.....

IMMEDIATELY, even though I didn't recognize the number, I knew who it was. I didn't answer the phone. I got a voicemail notice. I checked my voicemail and as I did, I said the following:

"Please dear God, let this be Shanna".

Hallelujah.

"Hey Kyle this is Shanna, call me back."

{Marv Albert} YES! {/Marv Albert}

The Evening
Our financial class at church was cancelled due to Easter. Met up with J-mo over at Kevin and Stacey's at 7:00 PM. We watched Extreme Home Makeover.

Man I love that show. How can you not feel good for the family, and at the same time, be thankful for the situations we find ourselves in?

After that, we headed to Applebee's to talk to Charity. We took her a copy of the trax we laid, and she liked 'em. Killer. Got Kebin working on some keyboard parts and we'll try and throw those in there too.

Coming to the end
This has been another exciting and jam packed weekend for me. Thank you for taking the journey with me.

I've started taking J-mo's advice, and have been getting up earlier on the weekends. Instead of sleeping until 11:00 AM on Saturday's I'm going to start getting up at 8:00 AM. You can get a lot done in those 3.0 hours!

I know I'm going to have an absolutely awesome week, and I hope you do as well!!

Ciao!
