Where's the sizzle?

My day started off by sleeping until noon. Got up, and ended up spending pretty much 6 straight hours working on a song I came up with the other day.

Bone came in to town around 730 and we hit up Huntsville. Bumpers and then TGIF. I haven't been there in YEARS. Overall, it wasn't anything special. Bone's entree' came out looking like a TV dinner... nice.

I am really looking forward to the beach in a couple weeks. THAT IS GONNA BE SWEEEEEETTTT! It's just so relaxing to me, to be able to open the doors, and poof you're on the balcony and the ocean is right there. It's very cathartic.

Ok, bed time.

What's right?

What's wrong... What the freak is goin' on?
Unskinny Bop
Just blows me away

Scary yes... I've been listening to "Poison".

Bone and I have been discussing making a trip to the beach in a few weeks. I was thinking, we'd have some killer music.... Like an 80's/90's retro weekend. He's got MC Hammer, Fine Young Cannibals, and Phil Collins. I've got Poision, Tom Petty, and Guns n Roses. I think we've got 6 hours worth of music for the drive down to Gulf Shores. haha.

The more I think about it... the more I am getting "Beach Fever" It's been like 2 years... maybe 3(???) since I've been to the beach. That is just WRONG.

After work yesterday, I came home and balanced my checking account. Lots of fun there. I got paid yesterday too, so that was nice.

Went to band practice. We're doing an acoustic set this week, so that's different. That went fairly smoothly. Afterwards Kev, J-mo, and I headed to Logan's for a bite to eat. There were a couple malfuctions with the food, but I was able to chase our waitress down and get all that corrected.

Nightly Funnies
Kevin: so how many days a week do you eat here?
Me: just once or twice a week
J-mo: but he's here mentally like 88 hours a week
Me: Yeah, pretty much
Kevin: You know, when most people do astral projections and have out
of body experiences, they go to the beach or someplace nice... you...
Logan's.

Good Money?

Today at the 11:20 AM, I was listening to Dave Ramsey. A single mother called in, and was discussing how she just got a job making good money. Dave asked about her income and she replied, "between $25,000 - $27,000 a year."

I don't know about you, but $25,000 a year isn't what I would consider "good money"... especially when you consider she's a single mother. But that's not what I want to talk about today. What I want to talk about is... Dave rattled off an interesting stat that 78%(?) of kids will be part of a single-family household before they turn 18.

78% of kids.

What is going on in our society with marriage? I believe there are a couple things going on. (1) Clearly, people don't take it seriously like they use to 20 years ago (2) Apparently a lot of men need to grow up and actually act like men and lead the household, and work together with their wives on this.

I'm seeing evidence of these 2 items first hand everyday. I have 3 new friends who each are 27 years old, and are divorced single mothers to 2 children. I have a few other friends who are in their 20's that are divorced mothers to just 1 child.

That really makes me want to drive my car into a concrete pylon at 100 mph. They are all incredibly attractive and have amazing personalities. I've spent time with all of them, and they are just fun to be around... Here I am a single guy, and I can't even find a girl to date. It's just slightly frustrating. You know?

nightly funny
Bone: anything going on tomorrow?
Me: nah
Me: just another day full of attempted suicides
Me: what about you?
Bone: now don't be all depressed because ______'s gone this weekend
Me: too late
Me: already am
Bone: go see your parents or something
Bone: spend some time with the family
Me: too late
Me: already am
Me: ROFL
Bone: ROFL

Cool Stuff Right There.

Ok, I'm just getting back from Sears where I was checking out the Ty Pennington Style collection for home stuff... (I spent about an hour checking it out online last night at SEARS.com, but wanted to see it in real life)

Wow, I'll tell you what, those are some pretty fly designs right there, and I have now added a budget line for complete bed and bath sets. I'm glad I found the bed sets, because I was really having a major issue trying to figure out how I wanted to dress the Tempurpedic mattress.

Also found a decent refrig and a washer and dryer. Sweet. Speaking of: What is the deal with the electronics in these modern machines? Good heaven's, all I want to do is store some orange juice, and wash some jeans. I don't need 18 ga-zillion buttons and options and temperature settings for the love of Pete. Simpler is better.

Any who, things are shaping up quite nicely. I love it when a good plan comes together.

Working in the garden
In case you haven't noticed, I've been distracted by some changes in my situational environment. And it's not just one female...

Yes, there is one particular female casuing my "life normality factor" to alter (falter?), but that is not a bad thing really, because in a strange way it gives me some sort of hope and joy, and I -love- her for that.

In the past month, I have been exposed to situations that I've only heard about on Dr. Laura and Dave Ramsey. Actually, being involved in these situations, has made me really appreciate the way I was raised and the fact that I have a great supporting family. (whom I see fairly regularly. haha)

Over the past month, as these people have come to me for help(?), I've been sharing my philosophies on life. I'm doing my best to "lead by example" by attempting to show them what "a good life" is. All the while, explaining the importance of -not doing things based on emotion-, but rather putting some thought into various life choices..... Because, making decisions purely on emotion, is what leads to trouble without fail.

All these women are over 25, so you know, "TIME IS RUNNING OUT". Key questions to consider in regards to who you date, who you have sex with, who you marry...
What kind of mental state is the person in?
What kind of job do they have?
Can they provide for a family long term?
What is their future earning potential?
Is his job good enough to where I could stay home with the kids?
Do we have similar religiois beliefs? ie Does he worship Satan, while I worship God?
I (the woman) work full time, he spends all my money. Isn't there something wrong here? Yes.
Why does my boyfriend use my cell phone, and not have one of his own?
As a girlfriend, what can I do to ensure this relationship is successful?
etc.

All I can hope for is I plant small seeds of hope and reason which grow and change these people's lives for the better. That's all I want, because really...it kills me to see these friends of mine suffering like they are. Especially since there is no reason for it.

Regions Union

My biggest concern regarding the merger of Union Planters Bank and Regions Bank, was the loss of the Union Planters Online Banking System. It was by far, the best online banking system out there. My fears came true as I logged onto the new "Regions Net" last night.

What a piece of garbage system. The biggest flaw is, on the line-items... it only says, "VCC Debit". I'm like, "Well no duh" The old Union Planters system would show store name, location, and even addresses in some cases. How I am supposed to be able to review this stuff online when all I can see is :

4/23/2005 VCC Debit $6.47
4/24/2005 VCC Debit $5.64
4/25/2005 VCC Debit $18.22
4/25/2005 VCC Debit $45.99

I'm hoping this is only some kind of temporary snafu and will be corrected in the future.

Back for a minute

Ok, I've gone back to the old template while I resolve some Flickr and other issues.

Thoughts From This Morning
I may be living in a complete state of disillusion when I say this* but, it seems like pretty much everything has been going awesome lately... definately at a high point here. Should these good times cease... I believe at that time, I will definately need to get on some medication. LOL

*If I am living in a state of disillusion, please do not disturb me, because I'm having a really great time here.

The Letter
I had a meeting at corporate HQ this morning at 7:00 AM. My boss asked if I had gotten the letter in my email. I was like, "What Letter?"

So I got back to the office around 9:00 (after stopping at Chic-Fil-A for breakfast), and there was an Email to me from our Vice President. Apparently my Division Chief had drafted up some kind of memo about my performance on the job, and was going all out commenting on the quality of work I've been putting out in recent months.

I'm not sure what the purpose of the letter was... but it was totally un-expected. So anyways, that was really encouraging. There is also rumored to be a "merit bonus" that is going to result from this letter. Now if that happens... that'll really be cool.

The Refund
I got my Fed tax refund in the mail today... HOLY COW I got a chunk and a half back. I was going to have to pay, until we took the "business milage" deduction on my car.

Extreme Home Makeover
Is this not like the absolute best show ever on TV? The stories, the good that is done for the families... totally awesome man.

New Stuff

As you can probably see... I've updated my website and everything. It's still not done, but it's coming along.

Today started at 10:00 AM with a trip to J-mo's house to pick up him and Tanya. We made our way to Hampton Cove, for some picture opportunities. Let me tell you, it was pretty cold today, considering it's been in the upper 70's most of the past week. Had a lot of fun and wrapped it up around noon. Headed to the Macaroni Grill. Visited Best Buy, and then headed back to Decatur.

I cleaned out more junk from my room, and then met J-mo at his place at 7:00 PM. Made a run to Wal-Mart to pick up some pictures, and then ran over to Logan's. Hung out. Now I'm here, and drop dead tired at this instant.

This is crazy. Cya later on.

Christian Guitar Forums

By The Way... I've received close to 200 hits from this websites message board link this month, and I can't figure out how I became associated with them.

Those of you out there who don't do anything at work.... if you'll go there, and search the message boards (join if you want so you can post)... and find out just exactly how my site is linked from there... I'd appreciated it.

Hmmm... you might even win a prize. ... like dinner on me.

CGR Forums

I spent some time looking, but I couldn't find it.

Thanks you guys.

SNL, Michael Jackson cartoon

A couple weeks ago, Saturday Night Live had a Robert Smigel, Saturday TV Fun House cartoon about the Michael Jackson fiasco that is currently going on.

It was on around 11:00 PM, which is incredibly late for me, and at that hour, everything is much more funny.

Well I did a search and posted the link below, in case you happen to have missed the actual airing of it. It is best if you have a broadband connection.

Check it out!!!

What is the deal?

It's about 9:50 PM... I am very hungry and preparing to eat some food.
My cell phone rings.
I answer.
Suddenly, I am no longer hungry.
Why does that happen?
Why is it, when she talks to me, I am unable to eat?
That is like the 8th wonder of the world right there.

Today
It was so nice outside. I took off work early so I could run at Wilson Morgan. I wasn't getting jack accomplished anyways, because there were a number of issues on my mind ALL day which I simply could not not stop thinking about.

I said a quick prayer... and each item that I had worried about all day, was set right this evening. That is pretty amazing. Wow.

Dating
I can not recall the last time I went out on a date with a girl.

Ok, I'm only kidding, I just thought that was a funny sentence for me to type out and for you to read.

I am a little concerned that it took me 2 weeks into the 2Q of 2005 for me to get a date though.

Holy cow, I had been on my first date in 2004 by February.

I'm slacking off a bit.

I'll tell you what though... it's amazing how my life went from having absolutely NO drama... to being filled with drama in a matter of a couple days.

Good heaven's.

Now I remember why I don't date more often. LOL

I'm only kidding baby. (please don't make me sleep on the couch)

Have your buddy read this while you...

A Picture Share!

A Picture Share!

For some good clean fun, read this during a flight while repeating an Islamic prayer in a distressed tone.

Last night at dinner,

I confirmed that Jaime did know who Dave Ramsey was and she follows his principles. That is so awesome! She's only 20, yet understands how crazy it is to have car payments and debt! She's definately on the right track in that respect.

Are you a Minuteman?
I'm not, but I'm thinking about becoming one. Read More About Joining the fight to protect our borders at http://www.minutemanproject.com LMV may be producing a documentary on this effort in the very near future.

Can I support us? ... Yes.
Recent discussions in which I have partken center around the idea of support. I have a full-time job where I do ok, and then I have a part-time job where I also do ok.

The question posed is, "Why should my wife work fulltime and be away from our kids, when I, can provide more than enough financial support for our family?"

At the young age of 30, I have counseled and interacted with hundreds of people in all kinds of situations. One obvious trend is: Kids who have one working parent and one "full time mommy", tend to be more socially normal* (with the appropriate love and discipline applied), than those who have any other kind of combination of parental situation: divorced, remarried, single-parent, etc.

I'm not saying that's the case every time, but it is true the majority of the time.

So why have 2 working parents if you don't need to? Why take a chance on having a -bad- kid... stack the odds in your favor. It's a battlezone out there, and our kids are the casualities of what the world around us says is ok, when in reality, it's not.

*My standing definition of a normal person is someone who: shows respect for others and other people's property, exhibits ethical and moral character, works hard, and has a spiritual connection of some sort.

Meeting People
I enjoy getting out and meeting new people. One thing that amazes me is, people who go to bars and clubs to meet people... to date. Come on. Seriously. Do you really think you're going to find a 'quality' person at a night club? I don't think so.

In all my years, I've never heard anyone say, "I met my wife at so-so night club". Even if I had, I would venture to say that the statement would be more along the lines of, "I met my ex-wife at so-so night club.

Just a random thought there.

1 hour and 30.

I just spent the past hour and a half writing my entry in MS Word, and decided not to use any of it.

All it comes down to is, don't have a closed mind. About anything.

You may inadvertantly shut out people who need your help the most.

You are also very likely shutting out people who can teach you a lot about yourself.

Accept people as they are and then use your life to lead them out of the darkness and into the light of a life worth living.

Show them that there is hope.

It's as simple as that.

I'm just now getting in because of the reason. We've been trying for the past 2 weeks. (it sounds like we're having a baby or something LOL)

I apologize to Bone, Cassie, and Bunny for dissing on them tonight... even though, they had no clue that's what I was doing at 10:30 PM when I used the "It's late, and I have to get into bed, because I have to be at church in the morning" routine.

... in reality, I had to be at the place because of the potential situation. The potential situation somehow morphed into a real situation, and I'm not sure how that all occured.

All of a sudden, I'm glad we didn't recreate that wreck from earlier this week on the I-65 bridge tonight after all.

In closing, I leave you with this business plan from the Underpants gnomes on South Park:

Phase I - collect underpants
Phase II - ?
Phase III - profit

Relate it however you wish to your own endevours. It will take you far. Or nowhere, whichever.

I love this.

It's been another good week... plus I got paid today. Killer.

It was cold this morning, but it warmed up nice this afternoon. Met Bone at WM and we played tennis for about an hour, and then went around the track 2x. I hit up the gym and did a little legs and sat in the sauna.

Made it to band practice. It went well. Afterwards we all went to Applebee's to visit Charity. I walked in and this happened:

New manager girl: How many?
Me: 4
J-mo: We'd like to sit with Charity
New manager girl: [looks at her section]
New manager girl: All her seats are full
Me: So, can't she pick up a table?
New manager girl: [looking a little confused]
Me: Well good lord, they do it for us at Logan's all the time*
[Charity walks up]
Me: ...If it's allright with her, we'd like to sit with her.**

*of course, my wife... fiance'... girlfriend... friend... acquaintance... this one girl whose name I know... always waits on us there.
** Apparently this new manager girl did not know who I was. I'm going to have to go back through the Applebee's manager training manual with her.

Dinner was good, and leather free. I got home, and have been updating my spyware and antivirus software. Oh yeah, loads of fun.

In other news... I just found out I won't be sleeping tonight or probably eating anything for the next couple days. Fantastic. I need to lose some weight anyway.

The Photo Buzz Is On

My "wall of photos"... aka "wall of hotties", "wall of cuties", "wall of babes" is really starting to get well known around the workplace. Both of my bosses walked in this morning, after I had hung up 2 new pix of Jaime, and we're like, "Aha! Another girl!" This was followed by:

Boss1: You need to take some more pictures of you and that girl in the orange.

Me: Oh...Believe me... she's going to be featured prominaently very soon. This is what we do on the weekends in Decatur for fun.

Boss1: So you just ask these girls if you can take their picture?

Me: Yeah pretty much (EC voice). We just go around looking for amazingly beautiful girls and offer to take their picture and shoot some video footage... it's amazing how many girls are into that. For instance, this latest girl we only met a few weeks ago. The goal is to try and get a new test subject every couple weeks.

Boss1: (laughing) Those girls have no idea what they're getting into.

Me: Well, when you pull up to a 11,000 square foot estate on the river which you have to enter through a key coded gate, that definately casts a positive light on the situation. It's not like we're taking them to a trailer up on blocks or something.

Fun with Jaime.

That should have been my blog title for Saturday.

I have a sense of Deja Vu. Do you? Can you believe tomorrow is MONDAY ALREADY?!?!?!?! Crazy I tell you. Crazy!

After an excellent church service this morning, made some prints at Wal-Mart and grabbed a bite at Arby's on the Beltline with A1. After that excitment, I came home and did domestic stuff until around 6:00 PM. I did a massive closet cleaning and am getting rid of 2 dozen shirts, 3 pairs of jeans, 1 pair of dress pants, 12 pairs of socks, and 5 pairs of shorts.

Went to the final class on Personal Finance at church tonight. That went well. Afterwards, met up with A1 for some dinner at New China, where, we were attacked by gnats and mosquito's for about 30 minutes. It kind of reminded me of being in Hawaii, because they had their front door propped open, and the outside air was blowing into the restaurant. However, the main difference was, well... this is Decatur and it pretty much sucks. Anyways, we had a good time discussing possible new career paths, which we may consider shifting to in the immediate future... sooner than either of us had really seriously considered before.

Made a quick run to books a million, and then now, here I am. I'll tell you what, there just isn't enough time in the day to get everything done that needs to be done.

These are some shots of me, interviewing Jaime yesterday. As always, make sure and check out J-mo's photo site for more pix of her... and Samantha, and lots of others.

A Picture Share!

A Picture Share!

A bachelor's necessary sustanance for 4 weeks.

So that's what she meant

last night at dinner, Jamie mentioned something about her car looking like, "The Freddy Kreuger car". I didn't get the full effect of what she was talking about, until this morning, when I met her at 9:20 AM at Ruby Tuesday's before today's photo shoot got started. I can't explain it, I'll have to get a picture of it. You'll understand.

This week has been incredibly busy on each and every front. Work has been slammin', but good. There has been stuff going on every night this week.

Thursday after work, a bunch of us went up to Nashville to check at this famous drummer at David Limpscomb Univ. That was pretty cool and met a bunch of cool people. I apparently had "the look" on, because people were asking if I was a "pro" musician... with the hair and GQ stuff. That was pretty cool. I'm just like, "Not yet, but hopefully one day soon" lol

I ended up calling a friend of mine at like 11:30 PM that night, driving back into town, as she was getting off work. I'm sure that confused her a lot because, I'm normally in bed by 10:00 PM. Ha!

Since I had to work so much during the week, I took off way early on Friday and went to the gym and such. Met up with J-mo for dinner at RT's, reference conversation at the top of this post.

Today I was up at 8:00 AM and got ready to go. We shot photos all day at a friends house and I shot some video. Or so I thought. I just checked it, and I was having problems with a "Dirty Heads" message early on.

I don't have any footage. Dangit. I had filmed some -good- footage today to. Dangit. I gotta send in the big camera to Cannon to get it cleaned. Crap.

38 days

My div chief went on a cruise to the Bahama's last week and was talking about his adventures with his family today. He had an awesome white water rafting story. I was thinking, "I need to travel more... I should travel more..."

Apparently white water rafting is frickin' expensive in Costa Rica... it was like $100.00 a person. When I heard that, I went into Dave Ramsey/Clark Howard/Suzie Orman mode and was like, "Frickin' A... we'd be staying on the ship that day." LOL

I remember when Anne and I went on our first date.. it was up to the Ocoee River, white water rafting a few years back... it wasn't $100 a person. Ahhh good times. But I've moved on since then. Or have I? What?

Jobs O Plenty
As many of you know, I half-heartedly have been applying for a perm position with the government. Today I checked the status of my resume submissions, and one of them has passed "phase I" and is now into "phase II". I believe that's the hiring manager review phase. I never really expected this to happen so soon, but this chance couldn't have come at a better time. It's obvious to everyone who knows about the situation, that I'm going to need another phat raise really quick.

Speaking of Jobs
This story about O.S. , was like all over the news today. 1/5 huh... interesting. I thnk we've got good ol' Bill Clinton to thank for the view that the youths of America hold on that topic.

The End of The Day
I left work a little early because I had to go into HQ and modify my timesheet. There was apparently some kind of problem with it.

Got to the gym at like 4:20 PM and worked out until 6:00 PM. Met up with J-mo at Crapper Barrell for dinner around 6:30 PM and then we went to Applebee's to see Chari-tah. Bef was there, she enjoyed her first day at the new job. Cruised by the mall looking for Linda, she wasn't there. Stopped in to see Tania. Went to one of J-mo's friends house's over there where I use to live in the SE side of Decatur. Took him by my old house, and then J.S.'s place. Good Times.

Now I'm home, it's 9:00 PM and am waiting for a phone call. Dangit.

Ok, I'm going to bed.

Sunday, April 03, 2005

It's that time already?

Where is the time going?

This has been another absolutely jam packed weekend and I can't believe that it's already Sunday night, and almost time to go to bed. I neglected to change the clock in my bedroom... so naturally, I was late getting up this morning. I imagine that'll probably happen in the morning for work as well.

My schedule is already filling up for the coming week. At this point, it's looking like it's going to be another fantastic week! I hope you all have an absolutely awesome week as well!

As always, blog updates during the week may not happen, due to an overwhelming amount of happenings, but I'll try and photoblog as much as possible! I know you guys love that!

Thanks for reading!

Get Your Tree Hug On

I already blogged about my dream this morning... man that was MESSED up... wasn't it?

Let's see, 11:00 AM ~ 5:00 PM was spent working on Charity's music with Eric, Kevin, Jack, Jon, and Charity. Amazingly we were all able to cram into my room here.

Now I believe everyone fully realizes why I haven't moved out of the parents house yet... They don't make houses these days, with "big rooms", which I need to put all this stuff in, AND still have room to have people in it at the same time.

We went to lunch at Logan's around 1:00 PM. ... and NO, it was not my idea to eat there. It was Jonathan's idea to eat there. Of course, I didn't offer any reason not to go.

The hostess girl.. the only one I don't know... gave me this look like,
"Who are these people with you? You're always up here by yourself."
LOL

I think the final recording of the first song we did came out pretty good. I dunno... gotta sleep on it.

Tree hugging PETA freak
At 7:30 PM I found myself at Jonathan's house hanging out, eating pizza. There was a re-run of Extreme Makeover Home on , and we watched that for a bit. I love that show.

He had borrowed a couple movies from Kebin, and I really wanted to see "The Day After Tomorrow", because I remember when it came out a couple years back, there was a big deal about it's "green-ness".

Yes indeed, it is a tree-hugger movie. It started out good, with some action and tension and suspense, but about 1/3 of the way through, things started getting hokey. Especially the thing about, walking from DC to NYC... umm right.

The only good thing to be extracted from it was, as a parent, make sure and spend quality time with your kids because you never know when something is going to happen.

Day Over
Allrighty , it's 11:30 PM, gotta head to the restaurant, roll silverware, and sweep.

Peace out my peeps!

Check this out.

I was coming out of the gym and had parked closest to the Decatur Daily. It was around 9:00 PM and I noticed the interior light in my car was on, and a police car was next to it. I could see the officer writing something down and I thought, "Great, my car has been broken into."

So I get up to my car, and the trunk is open and there is like this big black 'sheet' for lack of a better term, scrunched up. The officer gets out and says something, and so I open my rear door and I see 2 eyes looking back at me from my floorboard.

I'm like, "What the f--- is that?" At this point the officer is looking in the other side and then this dog like jumps out and runs over to the area near my accountants driveway.

I called, "Here doggy doggy" and it was a little frightened. I tried to walk closer to it and it ran up towards the middle of the parking lot, closer to the gym. The officer was with me there.

I guess the dog was frightened and it took off kind of towards Cafe 113. As it reached the edge of the gym parking lot, I saw a spark of fire, and the next thing I knew, the dog had erupted into flames.

It was running across the street, but something had happened. The dog now had a human form, and was running, on fire, towards the alley on the right side of Cafe 113. It was running faster and faster and then it jumped and smashed itself at full speed into the side of the little building beside Cafe 113. We all heard a "Splat" sound.

At this point, 'debris' appeared to go everywhere. But, it was like in chunks the size of mini basketballs. Next thing I knew, these chunks had turned into bright turquoise colored birds and were taking flight over us.

Naturally, I was concerned.

As they were flying over, they were 'dropping' some kind of acidic residue and some of it landed on my arm and it began to burn a hole in my left forearm area.

At that point, I woke up this morning at around 6:00 AM.

Nice.... and no... I don't do drugs.

Do you want to lose weight?

I have the perfect solution for you; Find something to worry about for a couple days.

You won't be able to eat. For the love of Pete, I'm lookin' like a frickin' skeleton over here.

Ok, it's not quite that bad, but you get the idea.

good morning - Girl 1 took care of her SUIT problem
good day - at the office tons accomplished, left early
good afternoon - nap
good dinner - with the 'wife'
good night - sleepy

What is the deal with chicks and my hair? Whenever I spike it, they are just drawn to it. I'm infamous for having my "low-hygiene" days, when I don't shave or fix the hair... but when I do, dangit they love it. I guess I need to make more of a concerted effort to do it. Even at the gym yesterday, girls I didn't know were coming up to me and saying how much they like it. {Eric Cartman voice} Sweet {/Eric Cartman Voice}

Noteworthy Conversation Excerpts:
[upstairs at work this morning]
Girl 2: Hey Kyle!
Me: Hey Girl2, Happy Birthday!
Girl 2: Thanks! You're so sweet!
Girl2: You gotta check out this underwear Girl1 got me from Victoria's Secret!!
[reaches in bag, pulls out 3 pairs of panties]
[the first one is like lime green and hot pink striped]
Me: Dangit! that's frickin' bright!
Girl2: You know, that's what us girls do, we buy underwear for each other's bday.
Girl2: Guys don't do stuff like that do they?
Me: Good Lord, No. That is just W-R-O-N-G.
[tons of laughter ensues]

[hanging out with Girl 1 and Girl 2 after lunch at Girl 1's cube]
Me: Ok ladies, I'm going back to....
Girl 2: Back to your hole?
Me: Yes, I'm going back to my hole.
[as I'm walking around the corner of the cube leaving]
Girl 2: You should hang out at Girl 1's hole more often, she likes it.
Girl 1: Girl2 !!!!
Me: OK then....
Girl 1, Girl 2: giggling.

[at dinner]
Me: I'm full already and am freakin' tired.
Her:You didn't eat very much... maybe you're anemic.
Me: Nah, I don't think so. I came home from work and slept from like 4:00-5:00, just so I could stay up with you.
Me[thinking to myself]: the real reason I can't eat is, obviously (or not so obviously), because I like you.
