The bonehead who designed the interior of the pharmacy where my wife works INSISTED that the floor be higher, so it is. My wife hates it. It's some old-school mindset that's normally disappearing in newer buildings. But not in this case.
Some shorter customers can't even reach the counter. Heh.
it's so you can see the top of the customer's head and then recommend they pick up some hair grower product if they're balding. or sugget dandruff shampoo. or sell them a yamika (if they're Jewish).

Amazing how much liability is involved in counting pills for a living.
Even more amazing is how many pharmacists (not my wife) screw that up.
