Today I went to Nashville for -ahem- work. Tennessee seems to be real big on these HOV lanes. I think it stands for "Human Occupied Vehicle". Aren't all vehicles human occupied? If they aren't, then that would scare me.
Do people who drive in the HOV lane get special treatment? If you drive in that lane with 2 or more people in your car, does that make it ok to go 90 mph, as opposed to the 80 mph that the rest of us are driving? I'm going to start car pooling when I go to Nashville so I can go 90 legally if that's the case.
That crazy real estate
One of my friends recently took a new job as the city engineer. He works 4-days a week for 8-hours a day. The city bought him a kickin' new truck and a new computer. Not to mention a new four-wheeler so he can get to those hard to reach sites. Since today was Friday and he was off work, we went around to some of the new subdivisions being built in the town. One of them is a 500 home project. We stopped and looked at one of the model homes. 3,900 Square feet... $800,000. Now that is crazy. The lots looked to be about 60' wide by about 150' deep and were selling for $150,000. That is also crazy.
Driving makes me tired
Does it make you tired? I don't know what it is, but it's a miracle I haven't tested the ground clearance of an 18-wheeler during my road trips. Driving really wears me out.
Maybe it's the fact that I've been up at 5:30 AM 5 of the past 7 days and haven't been getting in bed before 10:30 PM.
Oh well, I'm going to bed now.

HOV - High Occupancy Vehicle. I guess if your car's a two-seater, and there are two of you in there, it's Highly Occupied.
Anyway, it's an effort to lower the amount of traffic by getting people to share rides I believe. You're still subject to the speed limit (if you adhere to that sort of thing) but regardless if you're doing the speed limit or not in that lane, you stand a good chance of being ticketed if you're spotted driving solo during the posted "HOV" times.
I like "haven't tested the ground clearance"--hahahah
