Rats, Ants, and more Ants
November 23, 24, 25, and 26 proved to be four quite interesting days indeed.
On the 23rd Jawana hosted game night and we had Shane, Melody, Jonathan, Andrea, Bone, Bunny, Jawana, and I playing "Clue" and "80s Trivial Pursuit until 11 PM. I don't know anything about the 80's apparently.
On the 24th, after a short day of work, we found ourselves having dinner at Giovanni's, where right before we ordered, J-mo spotted a sizeable black rat scurrying along the top crown molding about half-way up the 20' walls. Needless to say there were a lot of jokes about that. It was kind of like old times, where I made barnyard animal noises at the table. Except this time, we weren't trying to pick up women.
On the 25th, we found ourselves back at Jawana's house for another game night. This time Shane brought over "Deal or No Deal" the DVD version. Holy crap what a horrible game. Frustrating and not fun at all. Then we played Clue and called it an early night around 8:30 PM.
On the 26th, after a fun morning playing at church where I got lost on the last song, I had stopped by Wal-Mart to get more dinner rolls for the Thanksgiving celebration at Jawana's. When she opened them, it turns out both 24 packs were crawling with little red ants. Fun! Had all her family over and my parents. It was a good time. We were both too tired to do the dishes at the end of the day, so, we left them out.
On the 27th, I began to have a variety of problems with the home construction deal. The cabinets arrived, the electricians needed the light fixtures, and the plumbing was a tad bit off. After a pretty hectic morning dealing with all that, not accomplishing anything at work, I headed to Hartselle. Went to Hartselle around 7:00 PM. Jawana went to the kitchen to get some dessert. She turned the light on, and we realized the kitchen was alive with ants. Ants were crawling everywhere. I had never seen anything like it before. It was like a scene from a horror movie. You know, where you are in a dark room, and when you turn the light on, you are surrounded by scrary stuff. It was kind of like that. I hate ants. She busted out the RAID, and we had a RAID-fest on their heads.
On the 28th, it was another hectic day. I went to Hartselle around 7:00 PM and helped Jawana clean up the mess in the kitchen. We did dished until about 8:30. Next year, I vote we eat out and maybe only do dessert at home or something. It will be less to clean up and less hassle. When I got home, I passed out around 10:45 PM.
