Life: Playing the Lottery

Last night we were in Nashville and talking about stopping and getting lotto tickets. We didn't.

Earlier in the day, Jawana and I heard this call on the radio as we were driving home: 28 year old girl and her 30 year old husband, are completely debt free.

We didn't get a chance to listen to the entire call, and the best part happened at the end. Thank goodness Dave archives these things online! This couple is going to be set for life, and that is where I want us to be. TOTALLY debt free!

$14 million dollars. Would you be ok with that? I would.

Money Stuff

In the summer of 2000, I began listening to Dave Ramsey. My new years resolution for 2003 was to stop using credit cards, even though I paid off the balance every month. Obviously it took me a couple years to buy into Dave's philosophy. In 2007 I got marred and made my wife get rid of all her credit cards too.

In March 2011, we paid off our house which was the last of our debts, and determined that we had paid off right at $250,000 of debt in 48 months.

It's now August 2013, and let me tell you, LIFE IS SWEET with no payments on anything. If you need more info on the plan, look up Dave Ramsey and do exactly what he says.
