Today was a really awesome day. The fit check went fine at the facility. After that, I made a beeline to Haverty's to show my parents the sofa I have been looking at. The usual sales lady I have been working with was off today, but the guy I talked to was more than happy to help me shuffle coffee tables around until I found one that looked good with the setup. The "grid" pattern rug and wood floor sample I brought up matched up perfectly with the Butterscotch color of the couch. See below for a refresher on what the couch and bumper looks like.
Is that cool or what? As we were sitting on it, I asked the fella to tally up the grand total for me, and when he handed me that number I about had a heart attack. Even though, I knew it would be expensive. I went up there this morning with the full intention to get the sofa today, but in the end, I couldn't do it. Something kept me from doing it.
After that, we went to Famous Dave's BBQ for lunch and enjoyed a great meal. Then I ran by Shane's to get some DVDs and then back home. I am now receiving mail at my new house. My deed apparently came today. One step closer!
It's been a long 8 months, but I'm glad to finally be at the end of the process. Now, my life can get back to some sort of regular schedule. It's been hectic having to get off work every day and then run around taking care of house issues. So, I'm really looking forward to getting back into the gym routine and guitar/recording. I need consistency and reliability. Plus, I've noticed a tremendous fall-off in both those areas, and I need to get back up to speed on all that.
