I've been cleaning and packing items for the past several days. So far, I've only concentrated on one room. The bonus room at my parent's house. It is virtually empty compared to what it once was.
"Is this really happening?" I didn't realize how odd it would feel to be moving all this stuff to a new permanent location. There are so many good memories ... so many good times in this one room.
1987-1990: Untold hours of NES and GENEIS game playing
1990-1993: Untold hours of making music with friends
1993-1996: Untold hours of anime, music, and videogames
1996-2000: Music and then the video business
2000-2005: Lots of recording, video work, and The Jeff & Kyle show
2006-2007: Mostly unused during this time of home building
20 years. Some 20 years of absolute fun times. I would not trade those times for anything on this planet.
Friday night, I was looking for some ammunition for my gun. (long story). As I was digging through a drawer in my bedroom, I ran across a journal from high school. I sat there and read several entries from the summer of 1991. Looking back, I've been priveleged to have some really good friends. Many of those high school friends I keep in touch with to this day.
I'm fortunate in that I can remember a lot of the good times we all had here. I do not look forward to the day when I can no longer recall the joys that have been a part of my life. So, for the time being I will no doubt ponder on those carefree times as I start out on this new life path in a my own home.
No doubt, there will be much music and festivities continuing. I hope you'll join me in this journey of a 32 year old, living on his own for the first time ever!
In the coming months, I am going to seriously make this site what it use to be. I've lost about 200,00 hits a month and am now averaging around 30,000 hits a month. I want to get that back to the 50,000 it use to be, and the best way is to bring back the real "Travel" stories and "Photo" pages. So, be looking for those!
It's way past bedtime! Nite!
