First, the wedding planning is going good. We are pretty easy folks I guess. Our budget is $5,000 and so far, it looks like we are going to meet it.
Second, my job is changing slightly and I'm going to be required to travel more. It looks like about once a month. In about a week I'll be flying down to Corpus Christi, TX to hang out for a few days. Then the following week I'll be heading out to Gardena, CA. The cool thing about that is, I'll be about 45 miles from Jeremy so hopefully we'll get to hang out some while i'm in Cali. Might have to call in sick one day. haha. I would never do that. Oh wait.
Third, Last week my bedroom furniture arrived and so I am officially able to live at my new house. If anyone is looking for -real- wood furniture go to Graves in Arab and check out the Durham Furniture line (www.durhamfurniture.com). That Manhattan series bedroom set I got list price was right at $9,000 for the dresser/mirror, tall chest, 2 night stands, and king bed frame w/ headboard... He ordered it for me for a 50% discount. Not bad!
Fourth, I've already started planning for the 'next' house project. Realistically it is 5-8 years away. I'm finding it takes me about 2-3 hours just to do the basic cleaning at my current 3,300 sq ft home. And there's nothing in it!!! Crazy! (Now I see why it is important to have a stay at home wife!! To help keep the house clean!! I guess that's why they've always said a woman's place is in the home taking care of house duties and raising the kids!! I absolutely believe that!!) I love you honey! I thought I wanted a bigger house... but after this, I think about the same size should be good. I've already bought a book of plans to start getting ideas and have already drawn out some designs. As I noted, I think we'll try the indoor pool route.
Fifth, this wi-fi hot spot thing has really taken over my life. I bring this laptop with me everywhere I go, and if they have wi-fi, I'm on it like ketchup on fries. Addictive I say!
Ok, I've got to go back to work. Hope you all have a great weekend! We'll be filming more weddings!

I work in Torrance, which is spitting distance from Gardena. Depending on where you're going to be, it should be a nice place. There are some gross places in Gardena though, especially the closer you get towards Commerce and Compton.
It looks like the company I'll be visiting will be about 6-7 miles SE of LAX... Any ideas on where to stay would be most welcomed :) I literally spent 6 hours at work yesterday on Yahoo Travel, Epinions, and Microsoft Maps trying to figure out a decent hotel location.
hmmm...the areas surrounding LAX aren't so hot, especially at night.
Let me ask my friend who knows LA like the back of his hand and get back to you!
Ask about Redondo Beach area.
Thanks!
