Spoiled Milk and Bloody Mary Mix

Blogging to you live from the western seaboard...

As he entered the plane and searched for his seat, he realized his worst fear would be realized; sitting next to a smelly passeneger. Just by a quick glance of the overall appearance of the male passeneger, he knew this was going to be an interesting 2.5 hour flight. Indeed, immediately upon taking his seat, the man said hello. The stench of his breath was that of spoiled milk. The young man was overtaken with the odor, and nearly toppled out of his seat as he managed to say, "good morning." Shortly after take off, the stewardesses brought out the beverage service. The man asked for a V8, but all they had was Mr. and Mrs. T's Spicy Bloody Mary Mix, so he drank that instead. Now, wach and every time the man would breathe or sigh, the smell of spoiled milk combined with bloody mary mix would waft through the air. Fortunately the young man was able to lull himself to sleep and the odor did not appear to linger in the immediate cabin area. GROSS!

When we approached Los Angeles, I looked out both sides of the airplane, and all I could see was city in all directions. I've never seen anything like that before in my life. As I told Jeremy a little later this evening, "This city is pretty big." I called that my understatement of the day.

When I arrived at LAX, I hoped on the shuttle bus and went to get my rental car. I got it, and turned on my phone's GPS and followed its directions to my hotel in Redondo Beach. It was spot on. I love my TeleNAV GPS on my Sprint Sanyo SCP-8400! Not bad for $5/mo.

Jeremy met me at the hotel and then took me on a tour of where he lives, Muholland Drive, Hollywood, and then Santa Monica. It was totally awesome to see all the cool stuff. We had an absolute blast hanging out tonight. I only wish Jawana and Shayla could have come out here too. There is no doubt we'd be having fun!

Being a road warrior is very hard, I'm finding out. I don't see how people do this for a living... living out of a hotel. I don't really like it. It gets me out of my daily routine, and I don't like not seeing my fiance' for a week at a time. Nonetheless, I gotta do it to make the money. Fortunately, it's not too often.

I'm all settled in at the hotel, and am about to get in bed. Tomorrow I actually have to work for a little bit. Hope you all have a great week!

Thanks to everyone who emailed and msged me on the way out. You helped kill the time at the airports!
