After closer examination of the numbers, we passed on trading her car for a suv or van. Instead we are going to get on the debt snowball program and pay off debts smallest to largest and get on with life driving the perfectly fine automobiles we have, even though the 2003 honda accord has 171,000 miles. We are hoping to get at least 100,000 more out of it, which means sometime around 2010 we can replace it. Maybe by then we will have cars that get 60 or 70 mpg, or even more. I will say the hyundai entourage van was really nice! The list was $32,000 But was on sale for $27,000! A bargain! Ha! It was loaded and had heated seats, dvd entertainment system, and like 4 different temperature control zones inside the van. We test drove cars for 3 or 4 hours monday. I am somewhat impressed with hyundais quality improvements, compared to the 1993 hyundai excel i had which caught on fire on my way to work in december 1998. That was interesting, smoke blowing from every crevice. Good times!
