Part of the plan for the weekend was also to have Karaoke set up for the girls to sing along with. Well, we didn't have any CD+G discs, so Sunday morning, I ran to Wal-Mart to get some music for the kids. I also was looking for Happy Birthday Balloons. To my surprise, Wal-Mart had no pre-made Happy Birthday Balloons. But, they did have a very large Hannah Montana balloon, and since that was the theme of her party, I got that (for $10).
I checked out, and as I was walking out the door the "greeter" (who by the way, looked away from me when I walked into the store. What? Am I that hideous that you can't greet me when I enter into the store?) stopped the Hispanic family in front of me to check their bags. Then as I walked through the security scanners, they went off and the lady said she would need to see my receipt. (I'm like, "Hey, I'm not Hispanic!) She told me to stay there and not move.
Now, here's where I'm thinking... Ok, you are in a wheel chair, telling me not to like move or run away. How exactly would you stop me? lol
So anyways, I gave her my receipt. About this time, another lady had walked in and was going to return some stuff. The "greeter" couldn't give her a return sticker because she was looking over my receipt. As the lady was standing there the "greeter" asked me what CDs I had bought.
Here I am, a 33 year old male, standing at the main entrance of Wal-Mart, with a freakin' HUGE Hanna Montana balloon, and I said, "Hannah Montana and Radio Disney." The return lady snickered a bit as I rolled my eyes.
All in all, it was a very good weekend.
The BIG news is: We have adopted, sort of, a cat! Shayla named him oreo and he's been hanging out at our house for about a week. He's a stray that started coming around. So, we've been feeding him and such. I'll have to take a pic and post it. He's cute!
Ok, off to clean house!
