More doctor time!

Monday's are my off days, and it always throws me for a loop.

Jawana had a surgical procedure on her jaw this morning. Last Saturday during her appendectomy, the intibation process jacked up her mouth. She could not open or close her mouth all week. So this morning, we went to the oral surgeon and he did some sort of voo doo magic procedure with needles and solutions to try and make her jaw work.

At first I thought it had worked, as she had a good range of motion, but as the day has worn on, it has tightened up some.

The whole thing is scary to me. I mean, she is 5 months pregnant. That's my baby in there! Every time they have to put her to sleep, I worry about her and the baby. Not to mention all the pain meds she is taking after the fact. I don't want baby Kyle to be a freakin' drug addict when he comes out!

Even 5 months into this, I feel overwhelemed sometimes at the notion of me being a dad... raising a baby... changing stinky diapers. lol

This has been a good weekend all things considered. In spite of all the medical stuff, we've been quite productive which is always good. House cleaning, laundry, other errands etc. I've brought a couple of my guitars downstairs, so I can play and practice more often and not have to be upstairs while Jawana is in recovery. In case she needs help, I'm able to actually hear here call for help. lol

Our neighbors went to church with us Sunday and I think they enjoyed it. It's so odd, but a lot of people in our subdivision are people I went to middle school and high school with. It's weird how that happened... 15 years later.

Jawana and I have been talking about preparing our will and stuff lately. We need to get on that. I've been looking at trusts in case something happens to both of us, and trying to come up with good stipulations for money distribution. Things like, "When the child goes to college he gets 10% to pay for expenses" or "When the child gets married, he gets xx%" or "When the child graduates with his Master's or PhD he gets yyz%" etc.

Have you all done anything like that? Looking for some good pointers on estate planning and the like.

Well, I'm still waffling on going to work tomorrow. I may just stay home. But, I am going to bed now!
