I have a hair cut appointment this afternoon.
Normally, this would not be a big deal, but here's the situation.
I got married nearly 11 months ago.
I have let myself go.
I hardly shave, have gotten fatter, and never "fix" myself up any more... a very manly phrase right there.
I use to take care of myself. Always dressed to the T, whatever that means. Alaways had myA-game on.
Now it's like I freakin' roll out of bed in the morning. Put on the same clothes I wore the previous day, go to work, try and make it to the gym (as of recent), come home, shower, put on my sweat pants... which I NEVER use to wear sweat pants or ANYTHING with an elastic waist.... eat dinner, watch tv (which I NEVER use to do), go to bed, read a bit, pass out.
Is this what being married does to you?
I do not like what I have become, am becoming.
I'm trying to get some sembelence of -the old Kyle- back.
The guy who was in shape, dressed up, and did stuff.... you know, the fun Kyle.
The other day when Jeff and I tried to do our radio show, I realized, I'm like not even really funny anymore. How did that happen?
Hopefully some of this will be rectified tonight with the haircut, and then subsequent dinner at Applebee's and tennis outing at the park.

Didn't know I had suck a negative effect on you! :(
Mrs. Kyle, it's not that you've had a negative effect on Kyle, but rather now he's married, his priorities have changed.
Before, when he was "Single Kyle", he trying hard to meet that special someone and he was working out to keep in shape and dressing to impress, etc.
Now that he's become "Married Kyle", he doesn't need to live his life to find a mate because he's already found one, so he's now living to support his family.
He's already stated here on his Blog that he's often working 60-hour weeks in order to ensure he can financially support you all.
Those extra 20 hours are what Single Kyle would have used to groom himself, work out, etc. Married Kyle, however, is using them to look after his family.
You haven't had a negative effect on Kyle, he's actually become a responsible husband and father and has been putting his family ahead of himself.
Cpn John.... I was just teasing him. I guess I should have made that more clear. Thanks for your input though! I know his priorities have changed, and I am very thankful for that! He's the best husband and father!
Is the radio show actually going to happen or is this just you talking about doing it again but not following through? :)
Be glad for the reasons you've "let yourself go" ... and that you have a wife and family who love you that way. They'll appreciate you "dolled up" and dressed down. Which is the way it should be.
