Just another day in paradise

Everyone! sing it with me! The Phil Collins hit from the 90's!

Last night, met up with the usual people for Mexican food night at the mall. Walked around. Nadda. Dillards was having one of their 50% off clothes sales... but as you well know... that's not good enough for me. It's gotta be at least 75% off before I'll consider buying it. Check out my Deal Of The Century Post on July 30, 2004 (3rd from the top)

Drove over to old Decatur to check out Jon's new office and the new place where Stacey works. I got home and was in bed by 10:00 PM.

Not a whole lot to report on today. I guess the big news of the week has been the potential booking of our 3rd marching band competition on Oct 31. Wow, we are going to be mega busy in October... better have fun now. Hence the beach trip Sept 10-12.

Ate Crappy D's with dad tonight, then worked on a wedding video and played guitar for a while. I was gonna call up Sara and go play tennis or something, but instead chose to play my favorite video games from the 80's because I thought that would be more fun. What? Haha! Relax, I'm only kidding.

Ok this picture is from last night... it's a sign from one of the bathrooms at the new building where Stacey works... I just found it odd for some reason.

One of the all time greats... Commando... Of course, the obvious downside is, you can only shoot in one direction. Ikari Warriors was much better with its pivoting shooting action.

This is like the first dirt bike racing game ever... and it still rules!

Beach Volleyball... since we seem to have trouble playing this around here... this makes it a little easier.

I plugged this game in, wondering if the internal battery was still good... and 12 years later.. it still has all my settings saved!!!! I was so excited... you have no idea! I can vividly recall like 7th and 8th grade , staying up for 24 hours in some cases playing the original Zelda. Wow, those were the days right there. Without question, it still ranks as one of the top adventure games of all time to this very day!

If you know what game this scene is from, then you, like me, are truly a video game aficionado.

It's almost 10:30 and I gotta get in bed and catch a bit of Seinfeld before I pass out.

Until next time... Rock On!
