That's how much we drove over the weekend. Wow!
I took off work today because my sleep schedule is all messed up. Sara TM'ed me asking where I was around 9:30 AM. I didn't get up until 11:00 AM when J-mo called to inquire about the status of the earpieces for my E5's.
Finished up my part of the Nutcracker video and then ran errands all afternoon. Stopped by the studio around 4:00 PM to alert JS about my recent hardware acquisition. There was a Christian Death Metal band in there recording. It was funny, the vocalist had an extremely effiminate (sp) voice when talking, but when 'singing' it was all "RAHHHHHHH" and deep. You know what I mean?
After that I went to the gym. It wasn't overly packed out, which was a bit surprizing since it is the New Year and all that. I ran by Tag's house to get his portion of the dance video. J-mo called and said they were at The Guad so I spun by there around 6:45 PM for a beef enchilada.
As I got ready to pay my tab, Kailyn raised her arms and wanted me to carry her. I was holding her with my right arm, and managed to sign my ticket with my right hand as well, while holding her. Not too shabby. The ladies were impressed. I guess I'm a natural. I need to work on getting one myself... however, I only want one if it's as well behaved as Kailyn is. (More on this in a minute)**
Walked around. No good sales. I believe they start on Jan 13th.... Ran into Tiff at Praisian's and she was like, "Call me on some other night besides Monday because it's ladies night out for us." I'm thinking, "Sure it is... I've heard that before" Came home and right now, I'm watching the AU VT game. Great game!
**Ok, about young children and such. I met this girl over the weekend who had like a 3 year old son. She was a single mother. The child was incredibly 'whiny'. When it would reach for an object, like a cell phone, that it wanted to play with, she would take it away and he would begin crying and throwing a tantrum. Immediately I could tell she was "one of those mothers" who doesn't beat her kids.
I'll tell you what, beating kids works. I have 2 friends that have kids and whenever they do that nonsense, they get a spanking, and the nonsense stops right there, and the kid behaves.
This brings up the whole question of single mothers, and the lack of a man in the household. I don't want to get into that right now.
I'll just say, if you're kids are acting up. For the love of Pete, discipline them. It's not "Cute" or "funny" when they behave that way in public.
