Back To Normal

Everything is back to normal here. I've been totally slammed at work pretty much all week.

Wednesday, I worked all night on the DI Nutcracker video and got finished at midnight. Delivered it Thursday after work.

Thursday night, we had band practice. It was going well until we had a stranger come into the sanctuary asking for money. You can read Eric's thoughts on it, as he does a good job of bringing to light some important points on this matter. Afterwards, Kev J-mo and I headed to Crapplebee's. Food was decent which was a change from the usual crap we've been getting there.

Friday was a slow day at the office. Thank goodness. During lunch, I made a stop by a local music store and played one of the Steve Vai acoustic EP7's. Played nice, but it was made in Korea, and I wasn't all that hip to the finish job on it... especially for $1,300.00. Played more with the Korg Triton Extreme and now, I'm leaning back towards the Yamaha Motif ES7.

Friday night, Jeff came into town and we hit up the Brick, late. Got there right at 8:00 PM. As we were shooting pool, this one guy came in and wanted to play. I just won, and so he played me. I won the first game, and let him win the second game. or something. Shot till around 9:30 PM. 5 O'Clock Charlie was playing.

Hip up Logan's. Cruised by J-mo's to drop off "I Robot" (good movie btw) and then got home at like 11:00 ish.

Today I woke up at 9:00 AM. I've been fine tuning Larue's drum clinic and making Mpg2 files most of the day. Shama is on her way over to work on some stuff as well.

I have also spent a large portion of the day on the phone, fixing situations.

I ordered Steak-Out this afternoon, and had this great exchange with the cute Delivery Girl:

DG: "I know you!"
Me: "Wow, it's been a long time!"
[small talk]
DG: "So is this your place?"
Me: "No, it's my parents, they're out of town and I'm house sitting"
