Do you ever eat there?

There are three Chic-Fil-A restaurants in close proximity to where I work and live (Huntsville/Decatur). I have eaten at all three for many years. My favorite menu item is the 8-pack of chicken nuggets.

In the past, chicken nuggets from all three locations were very similar in taste. If you’ve eaten at a Chic-Fil-A before, you know the signature taste to which I am referring.

Recently however, the taste of chicken nuggets from all three Chic-Fil-A locations have been vastly different, and not similar at all to the “classic” taste Chic-Fil-A customers are accustomed to. In fact, several times, the taste of the chicken nuggets has been what I would call “nasty”.

I’ve been noticing this for about the past 2 months. Has anyone else experienced this?

She Grossed Me Out
Yesterday, Sara gave blood at the Red Cross mobile unit. Where I work, if you give blood, you only have to work ½ a day. That’s pretty cool. Anyways, we were walking out on the way to lunch yesterday and she was telling me how they had to stick her arm like 3 times and something went wrong and blood was spurting…..

This morning I went down to see her and she showed me her arm where it happened…. GOOD LORD, it was black and blue and had like 3 red dots the size of a thumbtack head. I’d say the bruised area was maybe 2.5 inches in diameter. Wow. That is jacked up right there.

Excellence in Athletics
In a press release yesterday, the world learned the Michael Jordan is opening a new condo resort in Las Vegas. Spots in the condo start at $399,000. Does Michael Jordan still carry the name recognition he did 5 years ago?

Looking back over my younger years, I recall all the excitement I use to get from watching the Chicago Bulls play. I remember during the playoffs, after the game was over I would go outside and shoot for 2 hours at night. It was fun and extremely rewarding to practice the shots and moves of my hero. It was equally rewarding taking those moves to TC Almon and the Aquadome pretty much everyday during summer vacation. We would play basketball for 4 or 5 hours a day!

Who today can inspire such athletic motivation? Who today inspires motivation in anything? Are there any heroes out there?

I’ll give MJ this, he was ‘untarnished’ during his career. He was one of the good guys. That’s what made him popular, aside from his shear athletic talents.

I’m Moving!?!?
Or at least I thought I was. Yesterday, we learned that there were plans under way to move us to the building across the street. Today we went over there to see the new potential location. Let me say, my expression was, “FTS”. It would be a serious downgrade to where we work now. We all went in to our division chief and had a long talk and he’s agreed to let us stay in the office we are in.

If we were to have moved, I would have been highly not happy.

What is she trying to do?
Mother nature that is… get us all sick? We are having some major temperature swings here. In the span of 7 days we’ve had temps from the 40’s to 70’s. One day the high is 75. Next day, the high is 45. Seriously.
