My day consisted of two meetings, each of which lasted about 2 hours. It was agonizing. I was exhausted from not getting in bed until nearly 1:30 AM last night. The first thing I did when I got to the office this morning was take a 20 minute power nap. The day was long, but fortunately it went by fast.
After work I just sat around. Lee called and wanted to go to the gym, but I opted to pass out on the couch. I awoke around 7:00 PM. Surfed for a while and then went to the mall. I tm'ed Sarah, but no response... odd. Or, normal. Whichever. I almost called Tiff, but decided, "Eh".
Met up with Lee, Roy, and Bone at Logan's around 8:00 PM for dinner. Again. Yes, we ate there last night, but Lee wanted to go this time. I got there first and requested non-smoking. The waiter came and took my drink order: Water. About a minute later, this other waitress who knows me came over and this happened:
Her: "Why are you looking at me crazy?"
Me: "I'm not looking at you crazy... am I?"
[sits down beside me]
Her: "What is this? You never get water"
[snatches the glass off the table]
Me: "Well... I had to... you know..."
Her: [shakes her head and walks off, brings me back a sweet tea]
Ahhh good times. What does it mean when the wait staff at a restaurant knows what you're going to eat and drink before you order?
On an semi-related note, Sara and Shanna told me yesterday that I'm stuck in a rut. It's not a rut... it's a very disciplined schedule... That's just me. If you don't like it, just leave.... and obviously they typically do. I'm all about organizing, planning and developing alternatives. I can be spontaneous, but those occassions are being more and more infrequent. Good Lord, that must mean I'm getting old. Crap.
In other news, Lee is having difficulty with this game called Splinter Cell. I thought I might know a couple people who would know something about that game. J-mo only knew about the sequel, and Kevin didn't answer the phone. Guessing they must be tending to the sick child of theirs.
Anyways, I need to go to sleep because I think I have to be at work early... or rather... on time tomorrow for another meeting. We just hired a new manager and he wants to get to know all of his underlings or something.
Day 6 of 365 of the 2005 Saga has come to a close.
