I travel a lot for business. The corresponding corollary is, I fly a lot. I have never really had any scary or tense moments on planes... until today. When we were landing, the plane was going side to side and it was all rough. Plus there was zero visability due to rain, snow, fog, and clouds. My butt cheeks clenched onto that seat like a pair of vice grips. Throw in the anxiousness with the feeling of on coming yuckiness... and that is not a good combination at all. Fortunately, everything turned out ok. I have never been so thankful to get on the ground!
At the start of the flight, the guy sitting beside me was talking to me. I was like, "oh great, i'm sitting next to a talker." In case you didn't know, in general, I don't like people. Also I do not like to talk on airplanes. I don't see how people carry on conversations and read books and crap. I like to sleep. That makes the ride seem like <5 minutes and makes me get there faster. Once again, fortunately, the guy dozed off and I didn't have to talk to him.
I'm coming to realize, I really don't like travelling. If it wasn't for the money in per diem, and hilton/marriott rewards, and sky miles, I would not do this. Fortunately, I don't have to go very often. I have managed to create excuses for not travelling since January. But every now and then, I figure I'd better go to make it appear that I am a team player. haha.
I guess I'm going to call it a night. I can't believe this hotel doesn't have wireless internet, and I am having to hook up to a line. That is why I prefer staying at Hilton properties, they seem to be better than Marriott properties in my opinion.
