Rats, Ants, and more Ants
November 23, 24, 25, and 26 proved to be four quite interesting days indeed.
On the 23rd Jawana hosted game night and we had Shane, Melody, Jonathan, Andrea, Bone, Bunny, Jawana, and I playing "Clue" and "80s Trivial Pursuit until 11 PM. I don't know anything about the 80's apparently.
On the 24th, after a short day of work, we found ourselves having dinner at Giovanni's, where right before we ordered, J-mo spotted a sizeable black rat scurrying along the top crown molding about half-way up the 20' walls. Needless to say there were a lot of jokes about that. It was kind of like old times, where I made barnyard animal noises at the table. Except this time, we weren't trying to pick up women.
On the 25th, we found ourselves back at Jawana's house for another game night. This time Shane brought over "Deal or No Deal" the DVD version. Holy crap what a horrible game. Frustrating and not fun at all. Then we played Clue and called it an early night around 8:30 PM.
On the 26th, after a fun morning playing at church where I got lost on the last song, I had stopped by Wal-Mart to get more dinner rolls for the Thanksgiving celebration at Jawana's. When she opened them, it turns out both 24 packs were crawling with little red ants. Fun! Had all her family over and my parents. It was a good time. We were both too tired to do the dishes at the end of the day, so, we left them out.
On the 27th, I began to have a variety of problems with the home construction deal. The cabinets arrived, the electricians needed the light fixtures, and the plumbing was a tad bit off. After a pretty hectic morning dealing with all that, not accomplishing anything at work, I headed to Hartselle. Went to Hartselle around 7:00 PM. Jawana went to the kitchen to get some dessert. She turned the light on, and we realized the kitchen was alive with ants. Ants were crawling everywhere. I had never seen anything like it before. It was like a scene from a horror movie. You know, where you are in a dark room, and when you turn the light on, you are surrounded by scrary stuff. It was kind of like that. I hate ants. She busted out the RAID, and we had a RAID-fest on their heads.
On the 28th, it was another hectic day. I went to Hartselle around 7:00 PM and helped Jawana clean up the mess in the kitchen. We did dished until about 8:30. Next year, I vote we eat out and maybe only do dessert at home or something. It will be less to clean up and less hassle. When I got home, I passed out around 10:45 PM.

Black Friday, or something
This morning I went to Staples to try and buy some stuff for the company because of the reason. The line was too long as you can see here.
In other news, I helped Jawana put up Christmas decorations yesterday: pretty much all day. That was a good time. Then, we had dinner with my parents at 4:00 PM at Cracker Barrel. Then last night Jawana hosted a game party at her house and we had a great turnout: Us, Jeff, Bunny, J-mo, Andrea, Lee, Shane, and Melody. Wow, we don't know nearly as much about the 80's as we thought. Although, J-mo and Andrea did win. Next time we need to do bigger teams I think. It was fun and we all wrapped up around 11 PM.
In even other news, I've been working on FRIENDS Volume III today!! HAH! You thought I wouldn't do one! Well, I must admit, I've lost the 8mm footage that Shane converted for me with Kevin and him having a singing contest and the Christmas and Opryland Hotel footage. However, right now, I'm capturing the Gulf Shores 2005 Beach Trip which was expertly narrated by Jeff! It's quite entertaining, but then again, when you've got Jeff and Kyle together, a good time is bound to happen. Or something. Lots of destruction following Hurricane IVAN.
Ok, I'm about to go get a hair cut.

The List of Four
I've realized there are four things in life I do not understand. In no particular order, they are:
Yesterday I had lunch with Roger, my former boss. As we sat at the table waiting for Ralph to get there, I saw Julie walk in. She spotted me and waved. I excused myself from the table and went to speak to her. During the course of the conversation, she asked if I was all set for the Alabama vs. Auburn game Saturday. When I stated I didn't like football, a rather strange and curious look appeared on her face. It was as if she could not believe what I had just said. What's the big deal? I don't like football for the love of Pete! Or sports in general. RAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Where's my Zoloft and Lunesta?!?!?!?!
1. Womenand fourth, what we see here... a 1993 Chevy Caprice with nealy 4x4 sized tires on it. For the love of all that is sacred and holy, do people really think it looks "cool" or "hip" or "neat"? Apparently. I hope I never see the day where my kids come ask me "Dad, can we get some 4x4 tires for the car?" I'm gonna be like, "What are you... Crazy?" You buy the proper sized tires for the vehicle!
2. Saggy Britches
3. Football

Prices are dropping!
The 61" Pioneer Elite Plasma Flat Panel TV. It's lovely. The price is dropping like a frickin' rock. Shane and I have been intently discussing HD Plasma TVs for several days now. Since neither one of us watch TV, we can't justify spending the exorbitant prices plasma tvs cost. Still though, I want one, because they are just cool. Prices have been steadily declining all year long, and I am predicting that the first of 2007 will see major price drops in current flat panel technology after the January Consumer Electronics Show. So, if you can hold of on that purchase, definately do so, because you'll get a lot more bang for your buck around February.
Videos have consumed my life lately. However, last night I did make it down to Hartselle to eat some home cooked food. Jawana made spaghetti and it was quite tasty. I even took some to work today and ate it, before going on that crazy electronics pseudo shopping spree. (A pseudo shopping spree is when you go looking but don't buy. Kind of like window shopping, but that sounds so feminine. And, of course, I can't have that.)
I had several interesting thoughts today, but can't remember any of them now. Alas, I feel I am getting funkified, thus I'm about to go to bed. Hope you all are having a great life.

Another Day Another Dollar
Surprise! I am holding a baby. If Bone can do it, I can do it! LOL We will be doing more radio/internet shows in Jan 2007. We'll be funnier and more entertaining than ever! Or, for the first time. Whichever.
I've been working on videos pretty much all evening. Took a break while a friend from church came over to borrow one of the video cameras. While waiting for him I burned DVDs and ran through some G3 music because Ness sent out an email saying we need to meet this week to get started back with the other band. Hmmm some of my gear is still in Athens, I should probably get that back.
Last night I watched the Glenn Beck interview with Al Sharpton. That was interesting. Black vs White. A frank and open discussion on the "N" Word. All very interesting. I'll blog about that all later. It's going to be a highly politically incorrect post.

A relaxing evening out with Dan
Yesterday I found myself in Nashville at Shane's house. Here we have a picture of Reagan holding Garret. After spending a ton of money on business supplies, we worked on videos on my computer which turned out not to work at all. Lovely. A little later that night, Jawana and I went to a Huntsville Havoc hockey game and at one point, Dan Satterfield from Channel 19 News came over and sat right beside me on our row. He was with his family. I'm guess he's not into ice hockey because he pretty much read a book on photography the whole time. Hmm... maybe I should have brought a book to read. lol Anyway, it was a long day, but fun. Right now I'm working on more videos and am getting ready to go to Hartselle in a few. I managed to wash the car since it was like really warm this afternoon. No news about the house. Still painting and putting up crown molding. It looks pretty fly. That's it. I'm out.

Gift Card or Cash?
Today Consumer Reports Online reported 23 million Americans did not redeem their gift cards from last year. Occasionally I have purchased gift cards for people in the past, but generally I prefer giving (and receiving) cash as a gift. It seems to me that most people would be more thrilled opening up an envelope and seeing a picture of Andrew Jackson (or several) staring at them, as opposed to a small rectangular piece of plastic with "Best Buy" or "Parisian" on written it. As consumers, do we want to be limited to a specific store? I do not, and that is what a gift card does: it limits. Plus, it's not as if the giver is saving any money. If we were getting a 2-for 1 deal I might be more inclined to purchase a gift card, but since we are not, I'm going to stick to giving cash for gifts. Rest assured, if you give someone a $20 bill, it will get spent.
Rolling Stone Magazine – Free 12-month Subscription!
Last night we were picking up some things for today's field trip to Burritt Museum on Monte Sano Mountain. As we were walking out of Wal-Mart we noticed "kid size" guitars on display. As I looked closely at the list of included items, I noticed that a 12-month Subscription to Rolling Stone magazine was included. What does a 7 year old girl need a subscription to Rolling Stone magazine for?
Your Favorite Day Of The Week?
Friday is my favorite day of the week. Not because I don't like my job, but because my two favorite talk radio hosts do specials on Friday. Glenn Beck does "Moron Trivia" during football season where they call convenience store workers in the two cities of competing NFL teams and ask them questions about current events. The answers these people give are absolutely hilarious and show just how out-of-touch a lot of people are with reality, which is very sad. Then a little later in the day, my hope in humanity is restored when Dave Ramsey does his "Debt Free Friday segments" and people proclaim they have paid off all their debts. It is very uplifting!!
John Kerry
Often I wonder how this man is able to live with himself. I'm even amazed he hasn't committed suicide. If I had had the verbal mishaps he has had over the course of his life, I would have learned to just keep my mouth shut a long time ago. Without question what he said last week regarding education and the American troops was a huge blunder. The liberal media is trying to make it appear as if John Kerry was telling a joke or some such non-sense. I've listened to the whole audio segment, and if that was suppose to be a joke, then someone needs to seek professional comedic help, because there was absolutely no structure in any of the phrasing for a joke to be told.
