Chicks with big....

May 24th I found myself in Nashville filming Shane's graduation from the Nashville School of Law. After that I met up with my old work out buddy Quincy at a local dive by Vanderbilt University (another one of our regular video clients oddly). The sun was shining and the sky was as blue as the ocean with a gentle breeze causing tree limbs to sway in the breeze. We took our seats at a quaint table for two on the covered patio. As I looked around I began to notice that we were surrounded by some 30 or 40 college age girls. They were sitting at their tables in various sized groups, dressed for summer, and each one had on a pair of those "big" sunglasses. You know, the kind like Paris Hilton wears that covers practically your entire upper face. I'm like dude, that is crazy. All these girls look alike.

May 31st I found myself, along with Tag and Shane, in Huntsville filming a wedding at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. It was another beautiful day for an outside wedding. As I stood there filming in my khaki pants and two shirts (undershirt plus LMV shirt), I do not think I have ever wanted a bottle of Evian more in my life! It was 93 degrees outside! I was sweating like a lady who has no respect for her body and lets men use her who visited worship services.

June 2nd, I found myself, along with Jawana, Jeff, Nisha, Regina, and Vinu at Pauli's restaurant in Madison celebrating Shama's birthday. Pauli's is one of those places where you pay $35 for a steak, which would normally cost you $12 at any other restaurant. I knew we were in trouble when I looked at the menu online and the food item prices were whole numbers with no decimal or cents values. Indeed anytime you see a menu, it is safe to assume it's going to cost you. That is, unless you do what I did, and order a Caesar salad for your meal. You see, our entire dining experience lasted 3 hours. We arrived at 6:30 and left at 9:30. Over that time, I ate my salad which consisted of 2, that's TWO, lettuce leaves, a sprinkling of cheese, and 3 croutons. $5 later, I was still hungry. Bone didn't fare much better having paid $15 for 5 crackers, 4 pieces of cheese, and 4 pieces of fruit. Grand total of that in a grocery store would be about $2. Needless to say, we all had an issue with the quantity of food for the money paid. I really do not like those kinds of places. Now, Ruth's Chris steakhouse is a different story. I like that place.

Also on June 2nd, was my grandfather's funeral in Hawaii. It really messed me up the past several days not being able to be there. I haven't been able to get anything accomplished really until today. But, I'm getting back into the groove of things. Mom should be home next Wednesday. It'll be good to have her back here. Dad is hanging in there good. I talk to him and stop by to see him every day.

One other thing that happened on Monday was I got a phone call from the dermatologist saying that the mole that was removed from my back a couple weeks was was pre-cancerous. Now that is not something you want to hear. So I have to go back in July so they can examine the area more and make sure they get it all out so I don't get cancer.

That's about all I've got for now.

Scary news about the mole: I hope your results from the next trip in are positive.

(Well, negative I guess, but positive as in better.)

Sorry to hear about your grandfather, man. I haven't had any grandparents since I was 19, and there's always something missing.
